2025 IFA Gala Dinner
Iceland 20th - 23rd November
*** This website is only intended for recipients of a formal invitation to the 2025 IFA Gala Dinner ***
Thursday 20th - Sunday 23rd November 2025, Iceland
You’re invited to the 2025 IMTFA annual dinner dance event. Due to the huge success of the past few years this year we will again be hosting the event over a weekend, 20th-23rd November 2025.
So, for 2025 we’ve opted for something a little different, and we’re excited to invite you to Reykjavik, Iceland, for a weekend of relaxation, entertainment, fun with of course the usual fine wines and dining.
Reykjavik is the world’s northernmost capital city. A compact location full of colour and culture.
Iceland is truly a magical land - icecaps and glaciers, spouting geysers and steaming solfataras, volcanoes, raging rivers and magnificent waterfalls, clusters of puffins and razorbills, and cavorting whales just offshore—it's all just another day in Iceland. This country's many geological wonders have brought a tourism boom, with most first-time visitors driving the Golden Circle Route through the southwest. But lively Reykjavik has plenty of man-made attractions, too, including the magestic Hallgrimskirkja church and a music scene that doesn't quit. Geothermal baths are also a major draw, such as the mineral-rich Blue Lagoon.
We learnt from the past Danube trip that there is a demand to source flights, so, for the first time we are including flights within the cost of the event.
The itinerary is outlined below, however, to summarise;
Day 1, we all fly from Heathrow to Iceland where we have a private transfer to the fabulous Reykjavik Edition, the city’s only 5* hotel. We’ll start with a champagne reception and later a welcome meal at the hotel.
On day 2 we embark on a private guided Golden Circle tour. The Golden Circle is by far Iceland's most famous attraction. A short drive from the capital city, you’ll see the most stunning sights at Thingvellir National Park (the only place in the world where you’ll see the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates above sea level), Geyser geothermal area, and stunning Gullfoss waterfall - all in one day. A real treat, and returning to the hotel in time for some leisure time to explore the city. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a 6-course tasting menu accompanied by fine wines during private dining at the amazing Grillmarkadurinn restaurant, followed by a private party at the Edition’s own night club housed under the hotel.
The following day, we transfer to the famous amazing Blue Lagoon where you’ll have a fabulous lunch and can sip champagne in the geothermal pools. Returning in time to don your dancing shoes for the annual gala dinner dance celebrations that evening.
On the final day, you’ll have the morning at leisure before we return to the airport for our flights back to London.
We always endeavour to keep everything ‘at cost’. Iceland is notoriously expensive, for everything! However, with the discounts we’ve secured we are offering this trip on an all exclusive, flights, overnights, food, drinks, excursions included basis. This year we are also including the cost of a charity donation/auction/raffle prize. So, you’ll just receive one invoice for the whole trip (this can be invoiced in instalments on request).
We very much look forward to welcoming you on this exclusive, unique and exciting trip in November!
Dress code
For the duration of the event, the dress code is ‘informal and casual’, with the exception of the gala dinner, which is ‘black tie/evening gown/cocktail dress’.
Weather
We have placed an order for good weather, however, we suggest you bring your walking boots, a warm waterproof coat, hats, gloves and a scarf, just in case!
There’s a saying in Iceland: If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes. Iceland’s weather can vary hugely at all times of year. In November we’d expect, sun, rain, snow, sometimes all in one hour! The temperatures vary between 1 and 8 degrees C. If the skies are clear there will be a very good chance you’ll get to see the Northern lights.
